3) Why do you think only 21 of 50 states have laws addressing hate crimes based on sexual orientation? What factors influence legislation?

4) Define sexual aggression, sexual coercion, sexual assault, sexual pressure, and rape.

5) Identify a few rape myths. What function do these myths have?

6) Stranger Rape Versus Date or Acquaintance Rape. Distinguish between these two kinds of rape. Why is stranger rape more “believable” than date rape.

2) What evidence is there to link sexual aggression with sexually explicit material? Evaluate and critique the evidence.

3) Discuss whether sexually explicit material tends to liberate or subordinate women. Include discussions on who produces, consumes, and financially benefits from sexually explicit material.

4) What are the reasons women and men become prostitutes? Is it less stigmatizing to refer to someone as a “sex worker” than as a “prostitute”? Discuss whether prostitution should be decriminalized/regulated.
