The Question isA department store in your hometown charges
The Question is:A department store in your hometown charges 9.75%tax; the store’s location in your cousins hometown only charges 7.25% tax. If a shopper’s pre-tax receipt is between $11.57 and $81.43, write and graph ( I know how to graph it once I have the equation) a compound inequality that describes the difference in taxes paid for the two locations ( to the nearest cent). So at first I was thinking maybe it went something like 11.57< .0975x-.0725x<81.43 but it doesn’t really make sense at the end. If you could just help me with the formula that would be so great, these inequalities really confuse me. Please help.
