Whatdo sociological theories tell us about deviance and punishment in our society? When you think of these why do you think people cross the line and are eithernon-criminal deviants (such as refusing to bathe or being rude and loud ina restaurant)to being criminally deviant (such as breaking laws or murdering someone)? Whenwe are young our parents or caregivers correct us when we cross cultural andsocietal norms and are deviant; when we get older society does this too justdifferently.  The folkways of our culture and society are taught to us when weare young.  Do you recall any folkways from your childhood that helped youbecome a better adult?  Please share your thoughts on these questions
